Schindler's List vs. Requiem for a Dream

No way. No frickin' way. These are two of the best movies ever made. If I choose one, I betray the other.

Among the best movies ever made. And among the most depressing.

I find both to be a bit too self-satisfied for my liking, as well as being too aestheticized for their subject matter (the Holocaust should not be turned into sentimental goo).

Requiem for a Dream isnt as dull as Schindlers List. Which is why it probably wins out.

While I love both, Requiem has some pacing issues. Both have their issues though. I'm not too keen on the high level of preteniousness that these two films share.

Both top 15 movies.
