Star Trek: The Motion Picture vs. Star Trek: Generations

Terrible movie introduction to the original crew vs. mediocre introduction to the next generation crew . . . Generations wins this one.

Both of them are incredibly weak, I think.

The director's cut of THE MOTION PICTURE on DVD was actually much stronger than the theatrical cut or, God forbid, the extended TV/VHS cut that drones on and on forever. At least it doesn't feel like a glorified episode.

Personally the original is one hell of an underwhelm. Not bad for what it was but dissapointing. Generations is kinda mediocre (certainly no First Contact when it comes to the 2nd generation Trek), but still, I prefer it over The Motion Picture.

Easily Generations...I thought the original Star Trek movie underwhelmed...

Generations for me also.

Generations gets too much hate!

I agree to some degree, it's not as good as the peak Star Trek movies but still a decent entry, I also think Motion Picture gets too much hate but it's not a great movie either
