might both be the most intelligent sci=fi films of each generation with great narrative and story plus original concepts that both have been highly influential this one is hard but overall fee,l score and look I pick Close Encounters! plus its super fun to watch.

I hate the message of The Day the Earth Stood Still ("Police states are awesome!"), so Stevie Spielberg takes down Gort.

The Day The Earth stood still for me. Close Encounters kinda falls flat in the middle section.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind is kinda boring from start to finish. Not really good about it, just... yeah. The Day the Earth Stood Still is awesome 50's sci-fi and it never bores me.
