Thirst vs. Friday the 13th

I find this one surprisingly tough. Chan-wook Park is a masterful filmmaker, but Thirst was sprawling and unfocused. There're lots of great ideas, but I was left desiring something from the execution. Friday the 13th is what it is. It's shallow, derivative, and spawned a slew of terrible sequels and imitators, but it's also got its charms (along plenty of shocks, and even one or two genuine scares--something I felt Thirst was lacking).
