Final Chapter is actually the end of a trilogy and the original is the prequel. The conclusion to the original trilogy is the better of the two.

The Final Chapter sucks Imo, by far one of my least favorite F13 movies. The original was pretty good.

Friday the 13th is a deserved horror classic, but The Final Chapter surpasses it in execution, and for many is the ideal film in the series.

I love both, and The Final Chapter had a delightfully brutal Jason and great characters; you can’t beat the first masterpiece. I think the build up and atmosphere in the original is just unbeatable and unique. Never seen in a movie before or sense. And one of the best twists in horror cinema and possibly the best in any slasher film. Both are great, but Final Chapter is excellent, the original is a masterpiece.
