Kingpin vs. The Big Lebowski

Bowling comedies. Kingpin is one of those movies I watched about 100 times as a teenager, and then stopped watching it for years. My fondness for it carried over into my adulthood, despite my memory gradually fading as to what I specifically liked about it. The Big Lebowski is a similar type of deal. I rewatched Kingpin recently. While I do still find it funny, it's nowhere near as good as I remembered. I haven't watched The Big Lebowski since the early 2000's, probably. I can recall most every scene, though I may have lost my "feel" for the movie. So I need to watch it again, particularly since I've become more of a fan of Julianne Moore over the last few years. Anyway, The Big Lebowski wins for now.

I love both movies. They are both hilarious and are timeless classic comedies. However, I quote The Big Lebowski on an almost daily basis with my friends and it is probably my favorite movie of all time. The Big Lebowski gets my vote.

The Dude didn't even have to bowl in order knock the kingpin over.

Another notch for The Dude....
