Part II may have been a rip off of the first, but at least it knew to still be a comedy... about the group getting hungover... and not a Tony Scott-style action crime movie with comedic relief.

Couldn't agree more silenttom. I enjoyed part II -- I never understood the bashing it took -- I was expecting a similar movie to the original and that's what I got. Was it as good? No, but I still had fun and laughed a lot. I feel like the criticism Part II took for being a retread of the original led to Part III being a Bad Boys sequel... with only a handful of moments that made me chuckle.
I'd actually take 3 over 2...but not impressed with either...

To break the tie, 3 is miles better than two. Neither of them are good (which is disappointing given the talented cast and director) but at least 3 did something new, utilizing Phillips' style for something more than wandering around tying up loose ends. Neither were very funny, though.

Two was funny. I’ll never watch either again.
