The Hound of the Baskervilles vs. Bedazzled

Oh my God, two of the most painfully awful film comedies ever made. Bedazzled is of course a remake of a pretty great movie written by and starring.... Peter Cook and Dudley Moore. But this version takes the incredibly clever original and dumbs it down on every conceivable level. Hound of the Baskervilles is Cook and Moore's follow-up to Bedazzled where they dumbed themselves down on every conceivable level. Both atrocious, but HofB didn't quite make me want to punch the television set, and Bedazzled did.
