Chinatown vs. Citizen Kane

A match of high-ranking films on the corruption of capitalism and the investigation of those who live large and dissolve in privacy. I'm amazed there isn't more commentary on this match of two highly seen, highly esteemed films. I must personally vote with Welles, whose film has more unique charms.

Oh man, these are both so great but I'm going with Citizen Kane but it's extremely close

Two excellent films but I prefer Chinatown.

The Chinatown Chain Saw Massacre.

Citizen Kane is really good, but Chinatown is more my kind of movie.

Kane has the bigger pedigree. But Chinatown is much more entertaining

Both are rich, rich, so rich on theme... But Citizen Kane is an amazing ensemble of performances. Jack Nicholson and Faye can't beat all that, not just the two of them.

Chinatown is more entertaining as a story and Citizen Kane has a scope that can't be matched, so I am going to just lay low and pick the one that I watched last(Chinatown)

Both have amazing scripts. I will choose Kane for now
