Both films are in my top 20 and have changed the way we look at film. Jaws is a great character piece with Hitchcock-like suspense, but Chinatown is just my type of movie. Very close nevertheless.

There are very very very few movies which can beat jaws in my book. Chinatown is NOT one of them.
