Charade vs. North by Northwest

These two along with Notorious are my three favorite films starring Cary Grant. I'm really at a stand still on this matchup. NXNW is the bigger picture and it's more celebrated, but I had just as much fun with Charade. In fact, Charade has a certain charm about it that causes me to give it a very slight edge. I may change my mind later though.

I absolutely love both, but its North by Northwest for the win.

The only two movies I've watched starring George Clooney. I tried to like Charade, but it don't worked for me as well; I know it's there, but its twist seemed too convoluted and lacked, or better, locked it. North by Northwest, on the other hand, succeeds what I've seen on Charade. North by Northwest with ease.

George Clooney?

^Sarcasm. Cary Grant reminds me of George Clooney every time.

Charade

Oh wow, tough one. This is pretty close, but I think I'll go with NXNW.

Charade is pretty good, but North by Northwest wins for me. It's one of the most thrilling movies I've ever seen.

Charade is a Hitchcockian masterpiece, but imitation is never at the level of the real deal.
