As vehicles for acting awards go, The Last King of Scotland is probably one of the better ones; often such films get lost to time as a "thing of the moment" for the actor in question, but for me, Forest Whitaker's charismatic, monstrous and oddly childish portrayal of Idi Amin stands out as one of the best oscar-winning performances this side of the new millennium so far. Thor was a middle-of-the-road MCU film which was entertaining and not as bad as a lot of people said at the time, but apart from Tom Hiddleston it's still nothing special. TLKoS wins
Thor is the better movie no matter how you judge.
