Ichi the Killer vs. Dead or Alive

I'm surprised this hasn't come up before. Ichi is decidedly the more fucked up of the two. "Fucked up" is in its blood. It's about being fucked up. Now, with me, "fucked up" doesn't automatically make something better. In this case, there are moments where the movie goes so far over the line that it's funny. Dead or Alive goes over the line less often and it's the more action-oriented of the two, which is closer to being in my camp. And if that ending doesn't put a smile on your face, then Miike isn't for you. That is some --bizarre-- shit. Plus, there's a quarter-mile-long coke line! ...Think I'm gonna have to go with DOA.
