John Wick had some good action and not much else. Mad Max: Fury Road on the other hand, on top of having great action, also held a rich and absorbing mythology, a simple yet engaging story told through visuals as opposed to clumsy dialogue, and a wonderfully unique aesthetic as opposed to Jon Wick's sleek yet recycled style.
