Badlands vs. The Painted Veil

For some reason The Painted Veil connects with me. I'm not sure why, aside from perhaps that it represents some aspect of how I view the the world. Does it offer a simple truth that's on my wavelength? Maybe. Badlands appeals to more on an aesthetic level. Sissy Spacek was hot back in the day, don't you know. So, The Painted Veil provides some kind of emotional sustenance and Badlands is pleasing to the eye... I guess Badlands is more the kind of movie that liberates me from my day to day thoughts. It's escapism. The Painted Veil heightens my awareness of what my thoughts actually are. Yeah. Reality isn't always cool, even if it does keep me sharp. This is actually close, but I'll take Badlands.
