I wouldn't have minded if the Suspiria remake resembled Mandy's aesthetic, but that would've been too easy. Instead the director of Suspiria came up with a drab film that looked nothing like the original Suspiria. I can respect that. Was the remake as entertaining as Mandy? No. It lacked any sense of fun or wonder. But at least they knew better than to ape the original Suspiria's style.

Mandy is the better film here. Exciting, visceral, thrilling, artistic eye candy vs. 158 minutes of 70s politics with ballet acts and witchy climax.
