Ugh. One is long and boring and one is long and stupid. But fuck it, Cameron beats Emmerich any day. And points for the effort, at least....

Give me long and *smart* over empty and stupid, every day. If I need a nap or a coffee break, DVD affords me this. But nothing affords me a way out of the ridiculousness of ID4 except making a better movie-watching choice right from the start.

I like watching ID4 more so much fun!

Definitely going with the Abyss on this one. When Cameron makes a great movie, not much can outclass it.
