Tough choice. Seven Samurai is pretty long, but with several great characters. The scenarios and action are great for it's time and it's quite funny. 12 Angry Men is also excellent, but much smaller in scope. Seven Samurai has the ever so-slight edge here.

12 angry men is outstanding but seven samurai has more fleshed out characters, better music and is overall more satisfying of an experience since it is so long. There are so many themes and the story is so rich that I just have to pick it over 12 angry men, but it's extremely close.

Yeah, SS has to win this. Too epic and groundbreaking.
