Hm. A pair of action movies set in New Orleans. Well, I thought 12 Rounds was watchable enough, but this is rather academic. John Cena vs. Denzel Washington? Pfft. A fairly generic revenge-driven plot vs. a fairly creative time-travel/murder mystery plot? Gimme Deja Vu. Val Kilmer and Jim Caviezel are just icing on the cake.
I agree with johnmason, but on a side note, the best action movie set in New Orleans is probably Hard Target with Jean-Claude van Damme.

Live and Let Die is another great New Orleans set action film.
