Hmm. Both are pretty good in my opinion, but nothing to special. I'm actually going to go with The Fog though, because it didn't drag as much as The Exorcist.
The Exorcist
The Fog is boring as sin. The Exorcist on the other hand is a classic. Slow, sure, but still a classic.

Both are kinda boring. The Fog is my least favorite John Carpenter movie so far, but I'm still taking it over The Exorcist.

I like The Fog a lot. The Exorcist wins though.

Ooh, good match-up! The Fog is actually very much underrated, in my opinion; it definitely deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as The Thing, Halloween, They Live, and all of John Carpenter's other masterpieces. Still, I'm going with The Exorcist on this one, but The Fog is definitely a worthy opponent!

The Exorcist is one of the all-time great horror films out there. The Fog was good, but most of my enjoyment out of it came from Carpenter's involvement and the cast having a good deal of returning favorites
