Somehow I disapproval with these films, but I going with Terminator.

The Strangers is a hell of a thrill. Certainly it's not all good, but it's good. The beginning was incredibly weak, but once it get going, it get going. The Terminator is still way a better film though; a brilliant action thriller that would inspire a lot of later sci-fi films and also that great performance by Schwarzenegger. Things would only get better in T2, but T1 is still good enough and it sure does beat a lot of films.
I am going with Terminator. It has a much better dark setting and acting from Arnie's character and a very good ending overall. It works well as a standalone and it did set up the greatest action movie of all time.
