I can actually point to a few things in King Kong that I enjoyed. So I guess that means it wins, endless dinosaur chases notwithstanding.

two bad choices.

If King Kong had been cut an hour shorter it would have ranked higher for me. That being said, I didn't think it was a bad film and I enjoyed much of it. I really disliked MI-2. It marked the point at which Hollywood neutered John Woos films from R to PG-13. To a great extent it has harmed John Woos carrier. Also John Woo was just a bad match for MI. King Kong all the way.
