The Thing is really awesome but the effects have dated really bad.

Say what you will about Juno, but it masterfully evokes the solipsism of the bedwetting modern ape. It's a scarier horror movie than The Thing, in a way.
Ahhh! The dialogue is making contrived references to Sonic Youth! *covers eyes* Is it over?
