Kurosawa's first two collaborations with Toshirô Mifune are both great films making this a damn close matchup. I'll give the edge to Drunken Angel though.

It's really cool seeing early Kurosawa's efforts and how he tackles the crime genres, and I didn't know he had worked this long with Mifune! It was awesome to see them both work together really well in multiple genres, and not just samurai films. I find Stray Dog's story a bit more investing, so I'll go with that one.
