Hitch vs. The Distinguished Gentleman

I loved The Distinguished Gentleman it's Eddie Murphy's most underrated funny movie.

I liked both movies a lot, but the sad truth is that Hitch loses this matchup on the basis of its runtime alone. Although both films suffer from overlength, the difference is that The Distinguished Gentleman progresses naturally with no erronious subplots. Hitch however does suffer this fate (The "source" of Eva Mendes's article is one of the most drawn-out, unneeded subplots in recent film memory and hurt what was otherwise a very funny romantic comedy). The Distinguished Gentleman is funny from beginning to end with arguably the best Eddie Murphy performance of the '90s (I know most will prefer The Nutty Professer in this regard, but I think Murphy's impersonations make this performance a real winner). The Distinguished Gentleman wins with no contest!
