Vanessa is about a young woman raised by nuns and her sexual awakening in Hong Kong. There's also some voodoo in the movie, and people with magical sex powers (like being able to see others naked through the bottom of a glass). The Loreley's Grasp is about a woman who runs around in a green bikini by day, and turns into a bloodthirsty beast who eats people's hearts at night. An hunky hunter is hired to protect a girl's boarding school from the beast, but ends up falling for the creature in her bikini form. I guess I'd rather watch Vanessa most of the time. I mean, The Loreley's Grasp is just a series of monster attacks, which are amusing but not much else. It's good for laughs. Vanessa is both amusing and sexy, and I'm all about the sexy. Still, my verdict is not a landslide.
