The Godfather Part III vs. Across the Hall

Across the Hall is very effective at creating atmosphere. The shoddy production values and grainy filmstock (digital?) all work to make the seedy hotel look seedier. It's a shame that the writing didn't match the look. I'd hate Godfather Part III if it didn't befoul its worthy predecessors. BUt it does so I hate it.
