Has to be Rashomon
Rashomon is a masterpiece, no doubt. But Witness for the Prosecution for me. The plot, script, dialogue... that performance by Laughton... that ending.. my goodness.
Yeah, Rashômon is no doubt an amazing film, but I must side with Witness for the Prosecution as well. The screenplay is just outstanding.
I love them both, but Witness for the Prosecution has such a brilliant script and one of the best endings ever.
