Bobbie Jo and the Outlaw is another one of those lovers on a crime spree flicks. For these things to work, the criminals need to be at least interesting, if not likable. Also, the head lawman should be an entertaining adversary. That's not the case with Bobbie Jo and the Outlaw. Lynda Carter wears some skimpy outfits, but doesn't have much personality. The Fifth Element has lots of personality, but most of it is obnoxious. Why take the trouble to create an imaginative, detailed movie world if you're going to populate it with assholes?
