"Seven Samurai" is the greatest action picture ever made. Even in a match-up of lead actors, Toshiro Mifune simply was the action star of the century.

This is tough as hell. Two of the greatest action movies ever made. I think Kurosawa wins by a nose tho.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is a masterpiece.

Seven Samurai is the best action movie ever filled. As amazing as Raiders is, it doesn't have the heart of Kurosawa's masterpiece.
Raiders of the Lost Ark is more suspenseful and a lot more succinct.

"Raiders of the Lost Ark" has more memorable scenes, better music, better direction, a stronger script and has placed itself in the archives of cinema as one of the very best films. To be fair, so has "Seven Samurai" but I truly believe "Raiders of the Lost Ark" to be superior.

Raiders has the edge, though both are good.
