High Noon vs. The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance

TMWSLV's cred as a revisionist Western is overstated, or at the very least is undercut by the standard ending (the gunfighter wins, the politician lies.) High Noon wins fairly easily for its variety of atypical strenghts.

The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance is a truly great film and far better then a whinny sheriff that begs for help.

I'm all over High Noon on this one...

Liberty Valance takes this one.

High Noon! It wasn't played hundreds of times at the White House for nothing.
