Let Me In vs. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Oh, that's a good one. You'll here a lot of people calling these "needless remakes". Whatever. I don't really care either way. I haven't seen the Swedish Dragon Tattoo, but Fincher's is just fine. So that worked, I guess. Let Me In sorta kinda, kinda sorta bothered me. But ONLY kinda sorta. I absolutely love Let the Right One In, and LMI just felt like an inferior remake and less like the standalone film we were promised. If I had know going in that actually was a remake, I think I'd have been bothered less. Either way, like I said, whatevs. Anyway, right, the match-up. Fincher hits most of the right buttons with Dragon Tattoo, even if he doesn't really knock it out of the park like he usually would. So I'm going with his film.

Needless remakes, indeed. But the source material is so strong they're still pretty decent. Dragon Tattoo is closer in quality to the original so easily wins here. Let Me In is basically a failure.
