Easy the Matrix. I found E.T. to be overrated.

ET is perfect for kids but I prefer The Matrix.
I think matrix is a bit overrated. E.T is the far better movie IMO
Maybe I'm the only one but I didn't really care for E.T but I also saw it for the first time as an adult so maybe that affected my view of it. The Matrix takes this one easily.
Matrix never worked for me.
