Wow, two defining films of my childhood, one for holding my love through the ages and tbe other for scaring the shit out of me for 11 years. Both have matured and evolved with me over time, and have much deserved long term residence in my top 20. Those of you familiar with my views will know that Apollo 13 is my favourite of all time, and for all its charm and sweeping emotion, no film about a bug-eyed, benevolent, sentient space faeces is going to change that! In all seriousness though, I love both of these, so no hard feelings on E.T.

Apollo 13 for sure, E.T. is a classic but I just liked Apollo 13 better.
