Band of Brothers hands down. Even though it's a mini-series so shouldn't really be on here.

Hanks and a slew of others make it epic I love Private Ryan a bit more than Brothers

I think time will make Band of Brothers the quintessential World War II film. Partly due to the biographical nature of the film and partly due to the documentary introductions of the epidsodes
