Children of Men vs. Sense and Sensibility

This is a toughie. Very different films that are both at the tippy-top of their genres. S&S has a perfect screenplay that makes sense out of a webby, relatively inaccessible novel without dumbing down the content, and CoM boasts probably the best world-creating of any film in recent years. I'm going to give the edge to S&S because, while maybe not as ambitious, it fires on all cylinders perfectly, while CoM, while clearly more exhilarating and original, suffers from some flaws in the casting and especially the writing. Still, this is basically a tie.
