Event Horizon vs. Drowning by Numbers

Two movies with Joely Richardson in them. Drowning by Numbers is probably my favorite Peter Greenaway movie (that I remember watching). It used to be The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover, but I have mellowed out since then. Not to say Drowning by Numbers isn't dark and twisted, but it's also pleasant and humorous. And it doesn't gross me out. I still have an affection for Helen Mirren's work, though. Event Horizon is definitely my favorite Paul W.S. Anderson movie, because it scared the crap out of me. I don't think it's a good movie, exactly, but it does get the atmosphere of dread down well enough. My arty side wants to choose Drowning by Numbers, but it kind of gets on my nerves like everything by Peter Greenaway does. But, Event Horizon only appeals to me on a primal level, really. I'm not sure how Joely Richardson fits in. Anyway, I probably have to be in particular mood for Drowning by Numbers to be able to get through it.
