The Dig vs. The Grinch

The Dig is perhaps a little too self-serious and takes a few too many notes from Malick without evoking much. Despite that it is a good movie, well acted and shot, even if it does straddle too much of a middle ground in its attempted melodrama. The Grinch is fine, my kids like it more than it probably deserves. It is an improvement on the Ron Howard live-action from years back.
