Both really very good. Tully's pretty much going to win for not being as heavy.

First Reformed was achingly dull. How does one make a film about a priest slowly losing both his mind and his faith (whilst turning himself into a climate change jihadi) so tedious? Tully is, I suppose, Diablo Cody's worst script. Really nothing more than a handful of good lines lost amongst a haze of past successes. The gulf in quality between Young Adult and Tully is so very confusing. Still more entertaining than First Reformed but, then, so is the back end of a meth binge, so that's little praise.
