No comments? These are both films I grew up with and I love them both. Usually, I'd be inclined to pick the more uplifting Sound of Music but John Ford is my favorite director and The Searchers is his most rewarding film. It blows me away every time I see it.

John Ford is indeed awesome and The Searchers is as good as it gets.
