Messiah of Evil has more style than Rabid, I'll say that. Rabid isn't all that good, really. Messiah of Evil gets silly toward the end after an interestingly odd build-up. Both movies are about mobs of people acting crazy and bloodthirsty, but Messiah of Evil focuses more on creating a mood. Which makes it more memorable, even if I didn't care what happened by the end.
