I think Vanilla Sky is better than it gets credit for but the Dark Knight is easily my answer.
Dark Knight, and it's not even remotely close. VS is one of the worst attempts at mind-benders in recent history, right down there with Revolver. You can't just throw themes into a film and not explore them, them compensate by throwing more themes in.
