Two best films I've seen of 1947. Two completely different genres, but both stay with you after watching them. Gentleman's Agreement is about the bias of Jewish Americans who were being negated employment simply by being Jewish. As much of a classic Miracle on 34th Street is, Gregory Peck steals the show as a reporter who finds the truth about people's bias and hatred.
