The Man with the Golden Gun vs. Enter the Dragon

Oh gee, I wonder what inspired this Bond movie...yeah, it's obvious. The Man with the Golden Gun has martial arts, it has some similar locations and ofcourse it has the room with mirrors. TMwtGG is a terrible Bond movie, it's really one of the worst, but it's the only Bond movie (well, along with You Only Live Twice, I guess) that's in some ways "so bad it's good". A laughable henchman, a nonsense macguffin, a terrible script, terrible action, a car turning into a plane in just 10 seconds, wax statues, a funhouse and Christopher Lee as the villain; man, what a guilty pleasure.

Enter the Dragon, when I finally saw it last year, absolutely reminded me of a Bond movie. And yeah, having just finished a 20-years-later rewatch of TMWTGG, it absolutely reminded me of Enter the Dragon. To be honest, I didn't love either. But Dragon wins, for sure. If only because the martial arts aspects of it are much better.
