Both works of art, and either could be debated as the superior film. So really it comes down to personal taste in my case. Personally, I prefer Kubrick's vision over Coppola's. EWS wins this time.

Kubrick was a brave man for making Eyes Wide Shut--the artistic enigma!
Eyes Wide Shut. Apocalypse Now only really wins in filmmaking. Eyes Wide Shut is better acted and also includes a complex meaning and a lot of symbolism! It’s the Kubrick film I was least sure about watching yet I loved it as much as 2001, The Shining and Strangelove!

never completely understood the love for apocalypse now over aguirre or stalker. kubrick was right when he thought eyes wide shut was his masterpiece, even if i like 2001 more

Both films are good in their own right so this is really difficult. Guess I will go with AN
