Atonement is too large a turd.

I at least enjoyed Atonement up until where James McAvoy got busted for improper activity with a young person. I wish Keira Knightley would just star in a bunch of English period movies and wear ornate garments and behave coyly impish (or whatever that is she does). And none of them should turn out shitty like Atonement. It seemed like a spicy soap opera until everything became all serious and epic. But X-Men Origins: Wolverine was still way worse. At least I cared about the characters and the story in Atonement through part of the movie. Wolverine hit the "Wandering Attention" button very early.

Atonement is a well constructed film, unlike Gavin Hood's sloppy pile of rubbish.
