The Wizard of Oz. I think both are two of the best movies ever made, but Dorothy kicks Ralphie's ass in this match-up. The Land of Oz is one of the most magical cinematic landscapes committed to celluloid and Dorothy's fight to find a way home down the Yellow Brick Road is one of the most powerful and heartfelt odysseys ever told. Ruby Slippers > Red Ryder BB Gun.
Sure, The Wizard of Oz is a classic, but A Christmas Story is MORE classic. Be sure to drink your Ovaltine, suckas.
I'll go with Ralphie over Dorothy...any day...every day.
