Howard the Duck vs. Don't Torture a Duckling

Howard the Duck is a torturous experience.

For the most part I'm not too big on giallos (gialli?). To me it seems like hipsters flock to the genre because it's fashionably retro and foreign, but really most of them are about on par with the American slashers they influenced. Against Howard the Duck, though, well.

Overall, I'd say they are more stylish, atmospheric and sexier than most any American slasher flick. The retro aspect certainly doesn't hurt. Not for whatever hipster reasons, but just because I generally enjoy films from the 70s. I need to rewatch both of these. Howard the Duck is highly likely to lose.

They're certainly different, but I can imagine certain self-obsessed people getting way into 90s slashers in a few decades, if you know what I mean. (Not that everyone who likes giallo is a hipster, just generalizing)
