Flickchart Matchup of the Day
Time After Time vs. Back to the Future III
Today is the amazing Mary Steenburgen’s birthday, so let’s celebrate with two of her best movies. Both flicks are wonderful time travel movies that feature Steenburgen as the girl who just doesn’t fit into her times. In Time After Time, she’s too old-fashioned for the late 1970’s and in BTTF3; she’s too modern for the 1880’s.
Here’s what Flickcharters think:
My Verdict: I’m a sucker for sci-fi movies with a love story, so each falls right in my wheelhouse, but Time After Time’s unique blend of H.G. Wells and Jack the Ripper gives it the ever so slight edge.

Whoa. The Extended Editions of GWTDT are on Instant Watch? I’ve been *this close* to just buying that set to see them. This is much better. Thanks for the tip!
And, uh, didn’t we already have a Wolverine movie?
Jandy: This new Wolverine movie is the one that was *supposed* to be directed by Darren Aronofsky. Despite the director change, I’m still optimistic. I still love the character and Jackman’s portrayal of him.
Oh, right. I almost forgot about that one. James Mangold is a solid director, so there’s still hope. He’s no Aronofsky, but he’s solid.
As with The Amazing Spider-Man, we’ll see how that trailer shapes up. Personally, I’m not all that interested.
This is awesome. Love this article idea, Daniel. Way to go.
This is a pretty sweet idea, Daniel. Looks like it will take a bit of work, though, so kudos on going forth and doing this. I particularly like the daily match-up!
