For the eleventh year in a row, Flickcharters have voted for their favorites in a wide variety of categories, from the worst and best of the previous year to the films that interest us most in the coming year. While Licorice Pizza might not have had the budget of Dune, the musical numbers of tick, tick…BOOM! and In the Heights, or the sheer insanity of Malignant, it did have one of the most intense scenes in a 2021 film as two-time Flickchart Award winner Alana Haim drives a truck backward through the streets of Los Angeles. The scene clearly stuck with voters.

Those are your 11th Annual Flickcharters’ Choice Awards Winners! Dune and Licorice Pizza were this year’s big winners, with both films winning three awards each, while CODA won two. Also, both Alana Haim and Andrew Garfield won two awards each. With his Best Director win for Dune, Denis Villeneuve becomes our most-awarded filmmaker in Flickchart Award history.
